T. CALLAHAN Mr. Callahan is experienced in expert witness
testimony and the analysis of claims and schedules. He has authored several books on the
subject of construction claims and construction schedules including: Discovery in
Construction Litigation (Lexis, 3rd ed.1994); Deskbook of Construction Contract Law
With Forms (Prentice Hall, 1981); Construction Delay Claims (Aspen Law
Publications, 3rd ed. 2000); and Construction Schedules (Lexis, 2nd ed. 1998). Mr.
Callahan has lectured extensively in the United States and overseas on construction
scheduling, productivity, and claims topics. He is an adjunct professor at the University
of Kansas where he teaches CPM scheduling, contract and claims administration courses in
the Architectural Engineering School and Iowa State University. Mr. Callahan is also an
Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. D.
SCOTT SCHAFER Mr. Schafer has experience in project management, scheduling, estimating construction costs and contract administration. Mr. Schafer has served as a representative for owners, prime contractors and subcontractors to develop design and construction schedules; analysis and use of CPM scheduling techniques to evaluate the schedule impacts of project delays; evaluate the cost impacts associated with such delays; preparing progress billings for clients and review payment requests from subcontractors and suppliers; owner's representative during the planning and construction of new and renovation projects; and assist construction, engineering and manufacturing organizations in the evaluation and implementation of project management systems. Mr. Schafer previously worked as a general contractor managing projects for large box retail, commercial office, public schools, extended stay hotels, assisted living facilities, the restaurant industry, and fast track tenant build-outs. MAGNER Mr. Magner began his career as project manager and estimator on new commercial projects and renovation projects with responsibility for project schedules, budgets, contract negotiations, software reviews and bid packages. Mr. Magner's experience in construction management ranges from $10 million projects through $100 million projects involving multi office complex, manufacturing plants, and college buildings. Prior to joining CCL, Mr. Magner was a project manager for a general contractor in the Kansas City area, with primary responsibilities of project schedules, on-site engineering staff, liaison between owners and construction team, and contract negotiations with subcontractors.
